Located in the heart of Mayfair, the flagship Van Peterson Jewellery store was the third commissioned by the brand and served as the prototype for an ambitious expansion plan, with future locations envisioned in Tokyo, New York, Paris, and Geneva. Unlike the minimalist, stark white interiors that characterized the retail landscape at the time, the intention here was to evoke a heightened sense of luxury and exclusivity.

To achieve this, the design embraced a vibrant palette of rich materials that celebrated opulence. Green suede wall panels, dark timber joinery, and brass fittings added warmth and depth, while limestone floors and bespoke cabinetry grounded the space in understated elegance. The pièce de résistance was a striking back-lit marble luminaire, casting a soft glow that accentuated the refined textures and jewelry displays.

Despite the compact 30m² footprint, the store was ingeniously amplified using large mirrors and a reflective stretch fabric ceiling, creating an illusion of expansiveness. Collaborating with acclaimed Japanese graphic designer and jeweler Massako Ban, the brand’s visual identity was seamlessly woven into the space, further enhancing the narrative of craftsmanship and sophistication.

The Mayfair flagship set the tone for the brand’s international expansion, offering a distinct and immersive retail experience that underscored Van Peterson Jewellery’s commitment to timeless elegance and contemporary luxury.
