The 500m2 loft is on the second floor of a prominent 1930’s garage. The client is a meticulous collector. The home is a place for both intimacy and socialising.
The spaces are carved out of the whole. The flow between these spaces is carefully controlled by large sliding doors that allow the loft to be opened for events or closed into compartments to create privacy between members of the family.
The use of a simple palette of rich materials characterise the sense of the place and yet preserves the industrial feel of the original structure.
