Project Banya on the Isle of Lewis, Scotland, is a serene retreat set between land and water, offering an intimate space for relaxation and rejuvenation. Designed as a modern interpretation of a traditional sauna, it features a locally sourced stone chimney at the rear and a cold plunge bath at the front.
A long wooden deck extends over the water, serving as both an arrival point for small boats and a diving platform. The structure’s sharply angled triangular roof and dark oak cladding contrast beautifully with the light glass façade, providing uninterrupted views of the surrounding landscape while maintaining a sense of warmth and shelter.
